Five years ago, I made the leap to quit my job cold turkey and pursue my dream of becoming a wedding filmmaker.
After launching Victoria Leigh Films in 2021, there have been many ups and downs. I’ve made mistakes. I dove in head first with very little experience and the most basic gear.
But every wedding and every opportunity brought growth and learning. Five years later, we are forever learning and growing, but incredibly proud of the work we have done and the films we’ve been able to deliver for our clients.
I am so grateful to my clients — you helped me make this dream come true. If it wasn’t for you booking me and believing in me I wouldn’t be celebrating my five year anniversary today.
I am truly so grateful to everyone who took a chance on me to help tell their love stories.
It is an absolute honour and I don’t take it lightly that you have entrusted me to capture the most important day of your life.
It brings me such great joy — every single wedding sticks with me and I feel such love for all of my couples. I love hearing from you and seeing your life updates and I am grateful for you all!
To my fellow wedding vendors – I love showing up on a wedding day and meeting such incredible professionals. Whether we are meeting for the first time or working together again, I always feel like I am making new friends and meeting inspirational people on my journey.
To the hosts of the incredible filmmaker workshops @theweddingfilmmakerworkshop and @howtofilmweddings I attended – thank you for helping supercharge my learning and keeping me motivated. I met so many incredible people – people from around the world I look up to and admire and consider friends. These workshops changed who I was as a videographer and gave me the inspiration to continue my work.
